James "Jimmy" Dickey

James "Jimmy" Dickey brings decades executive experience to Sofge Capital Partners, with a specialty in technical financial analysis and structuring. He started his career at SunTrust Bank where he worked as a Senior Credit Manager. Jimmy ended his career at SunTrust (now Truist Bank) as Vice President and Manager of Commercial Banking. He left SunTrust after being recruited by a client firm, Home Buyers Warranty, to lead internal acquisitions.
After a successful time with Home Buyers Warranty, Jimmy co-founded DBD & Associates, a Private Equity and Consulting Firm. It was here that Jimmy mastered the art of fund-raising and working closely with portfolio companies to maximize opportunities and push positive cash flow. Jimmy made a reputation for himself by getting involved directly with portfolio companies and going above and beyond to ensure their success. Jimmy went on to serve as CEO of Ovations Management Solutions, and led them to a successful acquisition. He followed that by serving as CFO for the acquiring company, Cendyn Corporation, and led them to a successful part acquisition.
Aside from his work with SCP, Jimmy is very much a family man and a pillar of the Atlanta Metro Area community. Jimmy sits on the board at the Friendship Center and the Sheppard Center Foundation, and he is an active member of his church.
